i know tml is 1st September.
i know Teachers' Day is coming.

but it just didn cross my mind that the two sentences above are linked, until i read Cruz's blog.


how i miss school life..
when i am in sec school, sec school life are the best days..
when i am in JC, JC life are the best days..
when i am in NUS.. eh.. JC life are still the best days.. but NUS days are not so bad lah, especially when I have started working now.. Best thing about NUS life is that the KBox at Clementi! Cheap and good!!


Back to the main topic -- Teachers
Throughout my scchooling days, there are some teachers whom i like and respect a lot, and some whom i think they are juz plain evil.

i remember my pri 1 form teacher who accused me of copying another student's artwork when it was the other way round. And i guai guai stood throughout the class.

i remember my pri 2 english teacher who is juz a relief. She would specially prepare reading lesson after class for me. When she asked me if I am taking the school bus, I said 'no'. But in actual fact, it's a 'yes'.

i remember a pri 4 teacher, whose name is Mr Rashid. but i dun remember what subject he teaches, how he looks like, and why i like him..

i remember my sec 1 history teacher. Very nice and pretty. She is not fierce but everyone in the class juz fear her a lot.

I remember this evil form teacher in sec 2. Worst teacher i ever seen. Looks like a witch and acts like one too. She cut my fingernails spared the classmate next to me even when she has longer nails then me.

i remember my sec sch Bio teacher who educated us through her dirty biology joke.

i remember my JC civics tutor who always called my "Ah-jiao"... :<




Ah... ... so many teachers whom i remembered.. ...

but, i finally got my tix to Forbidden City! Yeah!

supposedly to have dinner with tlt, but well, in the end only me and sing sing met..

as usual, we would go shopping for shoes and clothes, but dinner is the more impt thing to do. so we had dinner at this Jap restaurant @ Marina Square.


Yes.. that's the restaurant. Sing sing's fren has strongly recommended their ramen

i ordered their teriyaki chicken bento, not very fantastic though. i 稍嫌 the chicken is not grilled enough. Sing sing ordered the ramen, and, er.. .. she wasn't really impressed by it. But well, we know that sing sing seldom comment her food to be nice.. Out of 10 meals she had, 9 will be bad.. ..

As the name of the restaurant says, it is House of tea and Sweet treats, SO, the desserts is a MUST-TRY!!! And sorry, the dessert is juz too tempting that i couldn't resist myself to take a bite before taking the photo..

This dessert got soft ice-cream, dumplings, fruits, jelly, soft sweets and red bean paste.. and it's Y-U-M-M-Y!!

Woo!! Another week has passed again!!
And I am a 2 months old MSW.. ~Coooool.. ..


More and more weird weird cases coming to me..
And is not that i want to complain loh, sometimes these people are really too much.. They take us for granted and thought that they are the only ones who are so so so pitiful and should be given every assistance that they asked for. And, they dun even say "thank you"

there are more people who are in worse condition loh.. and they dun take us for granted.. these are the people who we are willing to help loh!!!! !!!!

And HALLO, we are not the policy maker ok??!!
we dun decide why this cannot be use for that, and why that cannot be use for this OK!!
if u think that the govt is "not-clever" for putting such rules, and u are not happy with it, u can scold all u want when u are at home.

DUN KEEP SAYING "STUPID" IN MY FACE WHEN I AM TRYING TO DO MY JOB TO EXPLAIN THE POLICY, THAT IS NOT DECIDED BY ME, TO YOU. THE RULES ARE FIXED, I CANNOT CHANGE THE RULES. I AM A MSW, NOT GOD.

and ya, new schedule's out for sept.
I am still stuck in Outpatient.
Full Time Outpatient..

only has the chance to do inpatient on sat..

i have spent most of my precious weekend to do jigsaw puzzle..

Sat: from evening to about 1am..
Sun: from later afternoon to 9+..

And it is only half done...














And the worst thing is that, this jigsaw puzzle is not even MINE!!

i think i am beginning to like my job at CGH..
Although there are tons of casefiles piling up on my table
Although I can't seem to leave the office punctually at 5.45pm
Although the office is always super cold
Although the office only has super hot plain water




think i am going to do some inpatient cases le!!! Yeah!!

YEAH! its National Day!! So fast, our Singapore is 41 years old le.. And our dear Cherry is 22 years old le.. Soon, I will be 22 too..

It seems tt I looked quite old when I'm in office wear.. I was on the bus on Monday when this little by and his mummy board the same bus.. Little boy was trying to get up onto the seats when the bus started moving, and he 顺手 held onto my hand when he couldn't maintain balance. Being a person who likes kids and is very nice to them, I kindly let him held on till his mum saw it and apologized embarassly. But I definitely cannot take it when he said this:

Ling: (taking out a cute birthday card from her bag)
Little Boy: Mummy, what is AUNTIE doing?
Mummy: Auntie is looking at a card.


Hallo Mummy, 小孩不懂事 ok?? HOW can you be 不懂事 as well???
I AM 姐姐!! NOT AUNTIE!!




But nevermind.. I received more compliments during work to off set this trauma..
1. An auntie said i always smile
2. An Indian patient told her husband that I am very pretty and her husband told me that his wife said that I am very pretty.. The best thing is that he said that to me at the reception!!

And I am unshameful enough to say a big "THANK YOU" without complimenting back.. Anyway, there isn't much to compliment back..

this noon, i sneaked out of office to go to the Dental Clinic next door to remove my stitches..
and YEAH! It's the same nice-and-quite-good-looking dentist!!

Nice-and-quite-good-looking dentist: It's ok. You are more important.
Ling: (Smiles)

Nice-and-quite-good-looking dentist: Ok. Any question?
Ling: Are you married?

today is the day that i return to work.. and guess wat?
there were balloons at the escalator and tables for catering outside the office!! COOL!! my colleagues are so nice.. specially 摆这么大的场面 juz to welcome me back..


ha.. fat hope.. it is Nurses' Day today.. and the catering is to celebrate this big event.. juz nice that there is a big space outside my department, tt's y they hold the event there..

But anyway, I get to benefit too.. FREE LUNCH!!
that's considered to be a nice treat to welcome my return too..
