Its Exciting Awe-gust!

wanted to blog but yet, dunno where to start from..
but one word ... Awe some!

Lunch out with 弟弟

Ling has been waiting quite a while for this chance to have a lunch with *弟弟... and finally came the chance today... Ling has been looking forward to this day she took leave about 1month ago!!

Ling went to pick up 弟弟 from school, and after making the necessary preparations:

bathed. checked.

sh sh. checked.

弟弟 insisted that he wanted to bring his packet of tissue with Monkey packaging, because Ah Ma promised him that he could bring it along.. Ok. No prob.

Monkey tissue. checked.

Ah Ma wanted to bring 弟弟 water bottle. But 大姨 aka Ling said no need, coz there's cold water available at the eating place. So 弟弟 thought about it and decided not to let Ah Ma bring his water bottle, coz he wants to drink COLD water...

弟弟 is excited for the lunch and so is 大姨!! And here we go to Bac Donald!! Oops. Sorry. Should be McDonalds!

As 大姨 likes to treat 弟弟 his favourite food, 大姨 asked 弟弟 what would he like..

大姨: 你要吃什么？

弟弟: 你随便叫，我随便吃 loh..

Goodness!!! This is exactly wat J J said!! What has kids been eating or learning nowadays?? 简直是人小鬼大!!

Since 随便叫and 随便吃, Ling ordered half a Filet-O-fish for JJ, which disappeared in about 5mins time.

But 弟弟 likes to have his fries first.

Indulging in his half Filet-O-fish.

Not forgetting giving one fries to Ah Ma. In our house, we always practise the virtue of Sharing.. Even for the Nuggests. 9pcs means each will have 3. Good boy knows that he has eaten 3pcs and honestly let 大姨and Ah Ma to have the rest.
But obviously he is a bit soured... coz he said: "这个都不好吃的.."

Eyeing at his COLD water... Good boy did not make noise even though he only had a small cup of his COLD water.

Ling thinks that bringing 弟弟to his BacDonald's is a good way to teach him things. For e.g.
- Learning some independence to ask for his currey sauce and COLD water
- To be polite when asking for curry sauce and cold water.
- Teaching him to share, and have his favourite food slowly, because nobody is going to snatch from him.
- Explaining why he cannot go the the Boy's toilet when he is with 大姨.
- Teaching him to clear the table (even though 大姨 will not clean it if she is out on her own).

*弟弟 is Ling's cousin's son, who is taken care of by Ling's mum. He is 3+years old.

these days, "spontaneous mode" allows decision to be made fast and quick.. Yesterday morning, our dear muz is asking whether there is any good movies or not.. apparently we both are quite disappointed about the lack of X-factor in The X-files... we are even more disappointed to find no new movies for this week...So Ling just asked why not go to Mad Jack? since dear yanah was very much mesmerised by the "thick fish", which she saw on a food blog for Halal food...



and Ding! that's it. Lets go to Mad Jack after work tonight. ~ Cool.



we asked around.. and we have special guests like Zahara and Eileen, who also made a fast decision to follow us when we are ready to leave the office.. they are simply very cool too... haha.



The Mad Jack branch that we went to is at Simpang Bedok. Didn't know there was so much life at the inner side of the area!! I ordered their XMad Fish & Chips set dinner, which eh... doesn't turn out to have extreme madness leh... the fish is fresh, no doubt. But the batter is not really for me.. a little too oily, and i still prefer the breaded type.. BUt the set dinner is quite worthwhile, about $17 nett which includes: Fish & Chips, a soup of the day, a drink, dessert of the day (a cake or pie) with a scoop of ice-cream!


Having dinner with colleagues is something that we often do within our own clique.. Going to airport, Simpang Bedok, East Point.. even delivery from fast food. We go for movies, ktv..


Come to think of it, I have been very lucky all along to have met with nice colleagues and people at every of my workplace..
Attachment at TRANS was enjoyable because of the nice colleagues, supervisors and of course fellow attachment mate. it was like a special arrangement to have met Nic during my attachment. Who would have thought that Nic, who stayed in Jurong, and did not really choose TRANS for attachment, would have end up in TRANS? and met this very nice colleague of hers by the name of Ling? I am sure she wouldn't have regret this arrangement.

Colleagues at hospital are very nice and fun-loving too! Be it the departent colleagues, nurses, other fellow hospital colleagues..
Or is it that Ling has brought fun to the place? haha.. I strongly believe so..

I just love working in the hospital..

Sometimes, you don't know whether to believe such "supersitions" or not.. but things just happened to MAKE you believe it..

there is this urban legend within our dept about this "cursed seat" that is in my level 6 office.. so far people who have taken that seat, were eh... ... met with difficulties during work, and doesn't stay long in THAT seat... ... so far, the current seat-er is the 4th "lucky" person.. and guess wat? she fell ill today as it is only her 1st week at the new seat. Oh, it's her first day taking inpatient cases...

But, another explanation for it could be that the air up at the satellite offices isn't that good probably.. imagine 4 people stucked in a small room.. breathing in wat ur neighbour just breathed out.. No window. Just a door which is always closed. How bad can that be.. Even bimbo lim at level 5 has taken MC already.. bad bad bad.. ..

As of today, slacker queen is so far so good... 苦命一条, so still surviving..

And August is going to be a busy month! Started off with the Nurses Day today.. (Happy Nurses Day... and my ward 47 rox) Coming up will be my journal club presentation (better start preparing soon), the QC project thingy, Health screening, Test Your Limit (aka our mini NAFA test), Captain's Ball Intra-hospital Tournament, maybe the HCA fund raising project..


Oh, and lao kang's birthday.. .. =D
