Anyway, 海天楼 is situated at the 37th storey of Pan Pac.. its a round about restaurant and according to Sing, this restaurant is supposed to be able to revolve 360o but due due some technical problems, it didn't.
The buffet was a bruch buffet. Starts from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Food is mainly Chinese food with some dim sum menu. For a start, each guest will be able to enjoy a portion of the Chef's Signatures which is "Imperial Lobster Dumpling" and "Bird's Nest Egg Tart". Yummy Yummy. The lobster dummpling is really good... ... 馅料饱满, 外皮晶莹剔透... the filling is so fresh and Q!! Though Sing suspected that the filling might be prawns afterall, ah well... who cares?
Next, "Bird's Nest Egg Tart". Another of the chef's signatues. One word. G.O.O.D. The pastry is good. Egg custard not too sweet. Bird's nest.. well.. can't really sense any taste from it.. too bad they dun serve egg tart without the Bird's Nest. sure that i would easily gobble up 10s of them.. hur hur.
Besides the above two, we get to choose a portion of either Shark's Fins or Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.. Shark's Fins is really shark's fins. u can see the whole pieces of it in the broth, which makes me felt a litter sinful for eating it. The Buddha Jumps Over the Wall has loads of stuff in it -- dried scallop, mushrooms, small abalone, herbs, chicken..
The good stuffs submerged under the broth... The taste is good: 1 evidence -- Sing has tons of praises for it, even though she insisted she ONLY want to have Shark's Fins earlier on.
A list of food that we have ordered.
- Steamed Shrimp Dumplings.
- Pan-fried Pice Flour Rolls with crispy Conpoy (i.e. pan fried Chee Cheong Fun with shallots) --> not really well liked by us. I still prefer those that is wrapped with char siew or prawns.
- Steamed Scallop Dumplings with Vegetables
- Barbecued Duck served with Plum sauce (cripsy skin.. but too much fats..)
- Deep fried chinese buns --> my favourite!!
- Fried Prawn with Wasabi Mayonnaise and Mango
Jin's Fav!!
- Poached Live Prawns --> Big and Chewy!!
- Boiled Live Prawns with Supreme Stock
You can see the prawns which is soooo big... Even bigger than Ling's mouth and Jin's eyes!!
- Steamed Cod Fish with Pork
- Sauteed Garoupa Fillet with Ginger and Scallions x2
- Braised Bai Ling Mushrooms with Gingko Nuts and Seasonal Vegetables (Spinach, actually)
- Sauteed Diced Beef Tenderloin with Cashew Nuts in Black Pepper Sauce
- Fried Egg with Diced Prawns and Bean Sprouts
- Hai Tien Lou Homemade Tofu with Pine Mushrooms
- Soup of the Day
- Spicy and Sour Soup
- Corn Soup --> which Sing didn't really touched.. coz it is not the CLEAR corn soup that her mother cooked
- Fruits for dessert. Chris's favourite is the Cherries!!
- Chilled Honeydew Sago
- Soy Pudding

Looks like T.L.T is in a 热带雨林...
As you know hoe T.L.T people can really nua at a place, we sat at 海天楼 from 11.30am to about 3+pm.. after which, we walked from Marina Square to Suntec and finally agreed to watch The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
Of course before that, they slacked at 旺 drinking teh ..
Cost: $2.60 for my Ice Blended Holicks.
Time Ended: 4.45pm.. we gotta catch our X-Files at 5!!
X-Files: I Want to Believe
Cost: $9.50
Movie Rating:2.5/5
Time ended: about 6.30pm
A lack of the X factor. Not creepy enough though.
Rating will increase if not for the bunch of kids behind who apparently spilled their pop corn over the floor, and got a shock seeing that Scully and Mulder are actually a couple.
Following the X-files, after lengthy discussion, we dropped by the Esplande for some photo taking.. Poor Sing who thought that she was able to take a nice show with the river, didn't know that there were some constructions going on..
Cost: $0.
Time Ended: about 9+
Subsequently, we all agreed that we are somehow hungry again... and being a indecisive bunch, we eh... ah.. anything... dunno leh... decided to have a bite Mankan Sutra just alongside of the Esplande. BUt well... such places are always packed, so we eh... ah.. anything... dunno leh... and finally decided to proceed to Mac. Shared some drinks, fries, nuggets and McWings.
Cost: $3.
Time Ended: 10+ to 11
Well... Jin and Sing were apparently quite high and decided not to let the night end so early.. And being the staff of Pan Pac which means discounts at the hotel, we decided to proceed to The Atrium of Pan Pac to have a drink or two.. Turned out that after we placed our order happily, thinking of the half price, the staff said that discounts was not applicable as we did not make reservations. DUH!! As we have seated comfortably at the cushion.. who dare to just leave like tt??
Luckily it had free flow of titbits. Drinks without discounts is still affordable.
Ambience: 4.5/5
Cost: $25 nett for my Berrytini, which really makes me have a terrible headache
Time Ended: 1+am.
Total cost for 1-day tour at City Hall: $75 (not including our cab fare back home!)
Woots! Wat a fulfilling day!
Next Sat: Photo taking with graduation gowns + anther Wii session!!
And Ling prayed that she will get to have another go at Hai Tien Lou some time soon!! To devour all the other food which she didnt get to try.. and of course, with a better stomach..
