Had dinner with Jin just now at Tampines 1, and decided to go to a place where we have never tried before.. Tampines 1 is still very crowded, and i think wat jin's brother say is true "have u ever seen Tampines Mall to be not crowded?".
True true true.. almost all the eating places have queues.. we decided to go with the shortest queue @ 御宝南北小馆. Indeed, having dinner in twos will expedite the waiting time, and "ting" we are in the restaurant without even waiting for queu number.

Being indecisive and polite, we took quite some time to decide on the food we want to eat.

椒盐排骨(pork ribs)
not too bad, but a little salty

生汁明虾球 (Prawns in mayonaise)
seafood is still best!

We actually ordered a vegetable, but waited for soooooooooo looooong and the vege is still not served. Being nice customers, we decided that maybe the kitchen is taking some time due to the dinner crowd.
Well well.. guess that we were wrong. In the end we found out that the vege we had orderd is out of stock, and no one came to tell us that. *horrors*
Seeing the ongoing crowd, we forgive and forget.
Den, we decided that maybe we can try the 小笼包 instead! =) since we only had 2 dishes leh.. still hungry..
Dunno is it coz of our luck, we waited for soooooooooo looooong (again) and the 小笼包 was still not served. to our horror horror, the waitress did not key in our order!

Anyway, in the end we still get to eat our 小笼包, but Ling found the total bill to be a little ex..

Orders:
2 teas
2 towels
1 Pork Rib
1 Mayonaise Prawn
1 小笼包
2 Rice

+ service charge and GST = $47.80.

Even when we call for bill, we have to meet with some 小插曲. The waitress took my credit card without giing me the bill first (which i also happily give it to her), and den another person came with my credit card to ask if i am paying for the bill.

So that's about $23.90 per person. Since a social worker has to be strength focused, the restaurant is very efficient in clearing away ur dirty dishes, and when u are leaving, they say "goodbye and thank you" all the way from ur table to the exit.

Trying so many chinese restaurants, my favourite is still 店小二! =D
Good service, good food, though also slightly ex. But 久久一次，开心就好!
This reminded me of the dinner I had with JX at 店小二 some time ago...

The crocodile meat. supposedly. it tasted like chicken, but more chewy.

my all-time favourite. herbal duck. =)

3 dishes with soup of the day. the vege is my favourite too! Kailan with green lime and anchovies.
