The Westside story

I have always been a East-bound person, or rather, TAmpines-bound. My sincere gratitude to Mr Leonardo Da Vinci, the genius, who not only painted the famous and controversial paintings, invented great machines, has also made me spent a whole day at the West side.

Jin asked "how come many people like to wait till the last day then visit the Da Vinci exhibit?"
Ling "well... ... ask us.."

Indeed, we are also guilty for doing the same. I have been procrastinating about THE suitable day to visit Da Vinci - The Genius, ever since I watched the commerical ads in June.. Its only on the 2nd last day that I finally decided that it must die die be the day. To prove that we are really not that last minute, and we are REALLY interested in Da Vinci stuff, me and Jin agreed that we will meet at 9am, and be at Science Centre at 10am.

We made it somehow on time.. A nice relaxed breakfast at Mac, with the view of Science Centre. At 10am, Mac is already very packed!

Sorry, no photography in the exhibition. But from my expression, you can already tell that I enjoyed the exhibit very much!

One of the highlights in the exhibition. Indeed, I have learnt much about the painting of Mona Lisa. What we see (if we have the chance) at the Louvre Museum does not present the genuine colours of what Mona Lisa was then, due to the aged varnish. And thanks to modern technology and this exhibit, we can then appreciate the genuine colours, and also the 25 secerts of it.
Of course, besides Da Vinci - The Genius exhibition, we have also toured around the Science Centre. It is much much bigger than what we have remembered. Took some silly photos, and I shall wait for jin to upload. I was telling Jin that we should engage in such activity -- like having a relaxed breakfast, going to exhibit, science centre, interesting museums, once in a while. It does make me happier.

By the time we left Science Centre, it was already 5+!! Time just flew~~ and by the time we had dinner at BaliThai, shopped at Daiso & Popular, went finding for the shuttle bus pick-up point and realised that it doesn't go to Boon Lay anymore, took train to Pioneer just to have seats, and reached Tampines, it was nearly 11pm!

West side can only go once in a while. I still want to be Tampines-bound. Bound within my Tampuda Triangle*.

*tampuda triangle is a term by Ling which is the triangle of Tampines Mall, Century Square and Tampines One
